Seabird’s private nursing services are available across all regions of Adelaide. From our registered nurses to our carers and support workers, we understand the needs of those we care for. This is particularly important when providing Nursing care at home. Clinical needs can change quickly and care plans may need to be amended to take note of changing circumstances.
While managing clinical care is critical, so is the emotional and psychological support for both those we care for and their families. Private nursing care is not provided in isolation. The network of support can be wide and at Seabird we understand the need to engage with all support networks to provide expert care in any stage of one’s life.

Wound Care
Our skilled nurses are adept in providing comprehensive wound care, ensuring proper healing and infection prevention. From dressing changes to specialised wound treatments including VAC dressings, we deliver personalised care tailored to your needs.
Medication Management
Our nurses have expertise in a vast range of areas. They provide medication management along with IV therapies and injections as required. Nurses will also assess for competence of medications self management to identify any risks. Arranging for medication reviews and assistance in ensuring adherence to your medication regimen. This includes gentle reminders, organising medications, and training staff to provide prompting of medications, application of medicated creams and eyedrops. coordinating medication reviews with local pharmacies. Many people like to use a Webster pack to help set out medications for the week. We prioritize your safety and well-being by regularly assessing your medication needs and updates, especially for individuals managing conditions with frequent medication changes.
Chronic Disease Care
From enteral feeding to diabetes management, our nurses provide expert care for individuals living with chronic conditions. We offer personalised support and guidance to help you effectively manage your health and improve your quality of life.
Continence Management

Post Hospital Care

Comfort/Palliative Care

Seabird seeks to approach end of life care or palliative care with an emphasis on living life as fully as possible in the most normal of environments – a person’s home, and conducting care with as little or as much specialised medical and nursing input as needed, to achieve the very best quality of life for the individual.
Private In-Home Support

Providers have their own set of requirements and criteria for admission, and our role is to empower you with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate these processes effectively. We provide practical assistance and support with paperwork, ensuring you have the tools and resources to advocate for yourself and make informed decisions about your care.

We provide personalised support right in your home, connecting you with a suitable Support Coordinator to maximise the benefits of your NDIS funds.

Our Support Coordination services, funded by the NDIS, help you navigate your plan and access the supports and services essential for achieving your goals. As part of private coordination, we offer comprehensive support for individuals seeking access to Home Care Packages or residential aged care placement, as well as assistance with arranging respite care. Our goal is to ensure you have all the information and assistance necessary to make informed decisions about your home care services.
During our initial consultation, which typically lasts 1 to 2 hours, we will thoroughly explore all available at-home care options, including Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Home Care Packages (HCP), and private services. We'll assess your current approvals and determine if any additional approvals are needed through My Aged Care.
We will consult with you in regards to government costs, including any Income Tested Care Fees (ICTF), and help you manage these fees in the most cost-effective manner. Additionally, we'll compare providers in your area, outlining their fees, service offerings, and staffing levels. This enables us to recommend the provider best suited to your needs, and if necessary, we can even organize interviews and liaise with providers on your behalf. We will guide you through the complexities of aged care, ensuring you settle on the best service at the most reasonable cost.
